Formula verified Oct 2026 Β· Source: UHS Lahore admission notice Β· KMU merit list Β· PM&DC MDCAT-2026 notice
Public & private MBBS/BDS colleges of Punjab, central admissions by UHS Lahore. Weights: Matric 10%, FSc 40%, MDCAT 50%.
Usually 1100 or 1200; 900 on many IBCC O-level certificates.
1100 or 1200, as printed on your result card.
MDCAT 2026: 180 MCQs, no negative marking.
| Component | Marks | Percent | Weight | Points |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Matric / SSC | 1,000 / 1,100 | 90.91% | 10% | 9.0909 |
| FSc / HSSC | 1,000 / 1,100 | 90.91% | 40% | 36.3636 |
| MDCAT | 150 / 180 | 83.33% | 50% | 41.6667 |
| Aggregate | 87.1212 | |||
- MDCAT gives you 41.67 of your 87.12 points (48%). Each extra MDCAT mark adds 0.278 aggregate points, so about 3.6 more marks lift your aggregate by 1%.
- MBBS eligibility (MDCAT β₯ 55%): met (83.3%). BDS (β₯ 50%): met.
- HSSC eligibility (β₯ 60%): met (90.9%).
- Whether 87.12% is enough depends on this year's closing merit for each college and seat category, which is only known when UHS/KMU publish merit lists. Compare your aggregate with the latest closing merit list of the colleges you want, and fill your preferences so that some colleges sit below your aggregate.
You need at least 161 / 180 in MDCAT (89.4%) to reach 90.00%.
Same Matric and FSc marks, different MDCAT scores.
| MDCAT | MDCAT % | Aggregate |

| 160 / 180 | 88.9% | 89.8990% |
| 150 / 180 (you) | 83.3% | 87.1212% |
| 140 / 180 | 77.8% | 84.3434% |
| 130 / 180 | 72.2% | 81.5657% |
| 120 / 180 | 66.7% | 78.7879% |

| 99 / 180 | 55.0% | 72.9545% |
- Using 1100 as the FSc total when your result card says 1200. Always enter the printed total.
- Adding Hafiz-e-Quran marks: the Punjab 2026-27 policy doesn't award them.
- Rounding your aggregate. Merit lists rank to 4 decimals; 89.9999% is not 90%.
- Applying with an MDCAT older than three years. Results are valid for three admission cycles.
- βBefore applying, check the latest closing merit list from UHS (Punjab) or KMU (KP) and compare it with your aggregate.
- βFill in every college preference on the UHS portal for public colleges; preferences can't be changed after the last date.
- βO/A-level students need IBCC equivalence certificates before they can enter Matric and HSSC marks.
- βIf your MDCAT is below target, you can re-take MDCAT next year; the better score can be used within its 3-year validity.

What is the MDCAT Aggregate Calculator 2026?
The MDCAT Aggregate Calculator turns your Matric (SSC), FSc (HSSC) and MDCAT marks into the single merit percentage that medical and dental colleges in Pakistan use to rank applicants. It applies the official weighting used in the 2026-27 cycle: Matric 10%, FSc 40% and MDCAT 50%, exactly as published by the University of Health Sciences (UHS) Lahore for Punjab and applied by Khyber Medical University (KMU) for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Each component is first converted to a percentage of its own total, then multiplied by its weight. That matters because boards now use different totals: many HSSC results are out of 1100 while newer schemes are out of 1200, and IBCC equivalence certificates for O-level are often out of 900. Enter the total printed on your result card and the calculator handles the rest. MDCAT 2026 had 180 MCQs with no negative marking, so the MDCAT total is pre-filled as 180.
Worked example: a student with 1000/1100 in Matric, 1000/1100 in FSc and 150/180 in MDCAT gets 1000 Γ· 1100 Γ 10 = 9.0909, plus 1000 Γ· 1100 Γ 40 = 36.3636, plus 150 Γ· 180 Γ 50 = 41.6667. The aggregate is 87.1212%. To reach a 90% aggregate with the same board marks, the same student would need at least 161 out of 180 in MDCAT, because every MDCAT mark is worth about 0.278 aggregate points.
Because MDCAT carries half the weight, it is usually the biggest lever you still control. Your Matric marks are fixed and FSc marks are often already known by the time admissions open, so the calculator's target finder and the MDCAT score table show you exactly how many marks each extra MCQ buys. It also flags the PM&DC eligibility floors: at least 55% in MDCAT for MBBS, 50% for BDS, and at least 60% in HSSC (Pre-Medical) or equivalent.
Closing merits change every year with the number of applicants and seats, so no calculator can promise admission. Use this tool to know your exact aggregate, then compare it with the previous year's closing merit list published by UHS, KMU or your provincial admitting university. If your university changes the weighting, switch to Custom and type the new weights; the formula under the result updates instantly.
