- →Rs 300 is the minimum. If you can afford it, paying at the barley, dates or raisins value helps the poor more.
- →Fitrana goes to people who are eligible for zakat. You can give it to a needy relative such as a brother or sister, but not to your own parents, children or spouse.
- →Ill or travelling? You make up (qaza) the fasts later; fidya is only for those who can't fast and can't make them up.
- →Outside Pakistan, use the amount announced by your local mosque or Islamic centre in the 'Own amount' option.

What is the Fitrana Calculator 2026 (Pakistan)?
This fitrana calculator works out how much Sadaqat-ul-Fitr (Sadqa-e-Fitr or fitrana) your household owes before Eid ul-Fitr, and also Fidya-i-Saum for fasts you cannot keep and Kaffara for a fast broken on purpose. Choose the food you are paying the value of, enter the number of people you are paying for, and it multiplies the per-person amount by your family size. You can also type your own amount if your mosque, city or country announces a different rate.
The rates are the minimum amounts per person announced by the Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) in Pakistan for Ramadan 1447 (2026): Rs 300 for wheat flour (about 2 kg), Rs 200 at the government-subsidised flour price, Rs 1,100 for barley, Rs 1,600 for dates, Rs 3,800 for raisins and Rs 5,400 for munaqqa (barley, dates and raisins are based on about 4 kg). Rs 300 is the minimum. Scholars encourage those who can afford it to pay at the barley, dates or raisins value, which benefits the poor more. The CII announces new amounts shortly before each Ramadan; Ramadan 1448 is expected to begin around 8 February 2027, subject to moon sighting, and the calculator will be updated when the 2027 amounts are published.
Fitrana is due from every Muslim who owns wealth at or above the nisab on the morning of Eid, on behalf of themselves and their minor children; many heads of household also pay for their wife and adult dependants. It can be paid at any time in Ramadan and must be given before the Eid prayer, so that poor families can also celebrate. Fidya is for someone who cannot fast and is not expected to be able to make the fasts up later, such as the very elderly or the chronically ill: they give the same amount as one fitrana for each missed fast. People who are ill for a while, travelling, pregnant or breastfeeding normally make up (qaza) the fasts later instead of paying fidya.
Worked example: a family of five paying at the wheat rate owes 5 × Rs 300 = Rs 1,500 in fitrana. At the dates rate it is 5 × Rs 1,600 = Rs 8,000. An elderly parent who cannot fast any of the 30 days pays fidya of 30 × Rs 300 = Rs 9,000 at the wheat rate. Kaffara for deliberately breaking a Ramadan fast is first to fast 60 days in a row; only someone who genuinely cannot do that feeds 60 poor people instead, which at the wheat rate is 60 × Rs 300 = Rs 18,000 for each fast broken, and the broken fast itself must still be made up.
This page gives the amounts, not a fatwa. Schools of thought differ on details, such as whether to pay in food or cash and which family members to include, so follow the scholar you rely on. Outside Pakistan, use the amount announced by your local mosque or Islamic centre in the custom field.
