What is the Gold Rate in Pakistan Today?
This page shows the gold rate in Pakistan today for 24 karat, 22 karat, 21 karat and 18 karat gold, per tola, per 10 grams and per gram, in Pakistani rupees, together with the silver price per tola and per 10 grams. Two figures are shown for every karat. The first is the international spot price β the worldwide benchmark price of pure gold in US dollars per troy ounce β converted into rupees at the latest dollar exchange rate. The second is an estimated Sarafa rate: the spot figure plus the premium that the Pakistani bullion market has recently been charging over spot. You can change that premium yourself, and every number on the page, including the calculator, follows it.
How the rate is calculated: one troy ounce is 31.1035 grams and one tola is 11.6638 grams, so the 24k spot price per tola is the dollar price per ounce Γ· 31.1035 Γ the rupee-dollar rate Γ 11.6638. The per-gram and per-10-gram rates use the same price per gram. Lower karats are valued by their gold content, karat Γ· 24: 22k is 22/24 (about 91.6%, stamped 916), 21k is 87.5% (875) and 18k is 75% (750). This is also how jewellers derive their 22k, 21k and 18k rates from the 24k rate announced each day by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA). Silver is converted the same way from its own spot price. The spot price and exchange rate are refreshed about once an hour, and once a day the price is saved so the page can show the change since yesterday and a price chart.
Why the Sarafa rate is higher than spot: the association's announced rate, which newspapers and TV channels report as "the gold rate in Pakistan", is a local wholesale rate. It sits above the converted international price because it reflects import and smuggling costs, the open-market rather than interbank dollar rate, dealer margins and local demand, so the gap moves from day to day. On 26 October 2026 the reported 24k Sarafa rate was Rs 423,436 per tola, while the international spot price that day β about $4,014 per ounce at Rs 276.94 per dollar β worked out to Rs 416,833 per tola. The difference, about Rs 6,600 per tola or 1.6%, is the default premium on this page. Check it against the day's announced rate and adjust it if it has moved.
Worked example (26 October 2026, premium Rs 6,600): the 24k spot rate is Rs 416,833 per tola, so the estimated Sarafa rate is Rs 423,433 per tola, Rs 363,031 per 10 grams and Rs 36,303 per gram. For 22k, multiply by 22/24: Rs 382,097 per tola at spot and Rs 388,147 per tola at the estimated Sarafa rate. A 22k set weighing 2.5 tola is therefore worth about Rs 955,241 in gold at spot and Rs 970,366 at the Sarafa estimate. Silver was about Rs 5,612 per tola at spot (the Sarafa silver rate reported the same day was Rs 5,878). A jeweller's bill will be higher than the gold value because of making charges β use our Gold Price Calculator to add them.
The rate is the same in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Quetta, Multan, Faisalabad and Hyderabad because the APSGJA announces one national rate and city associations follow it; individual shops then add their own making charges and sometimes a small margin. Remember that what you receive when you sell gold is usually less than the buying rate, because shops deduct making charges and often an amount for impurity or wastage. This page is a price reference, not financial advice: gold prices can fall as well as rise, so decide on any purchase or sale based on your own needs and, if necessary, with a qualified adviser.
How to Use This Calculator
- 1Read today's rate table β 24k, 22k, 21k and 18k per tola, with the international spot price and the estimated Sarafa rate side by side. The time of the last update is shown above the table.
- 2Check the per 10 grams and per gram table below it if your jeweller quotes in grams, and the silver rate per tola and per 10 grams.
- 3Adjust the Sarafa premium per tola if today's announced rate shows a different gap from spot; every table and result follows it. Set it to 0 to see pure spot prices.
- 4If live prices fail to load, type today's 24k Sarafa rate per tola from the news or your jeweller; the page works out all other karats and units from it.
- 5Use the calculator to value any weight: pick a preset or enter tolas, grams, masha or ratti, choose the karat and see the value at spot and at the Sarafa estimate.
- 6Look at the change since yesterday and the price chart to see how the rate has moved, then use the Gold Price Calculator for making charges or the Zakat Calculator if the gold is for zakat.
