- Calculating commission on cost instead of on the selling price. Daraz charges it on what the customer pays.
- Forgetting the 1โ2% withholding tax, which is taken from the full sale, not your profit.
- Joining an 11.11 or 12.12 campaign voucher without checking the new margin. Use the sensitivity table first.
- Ignoring failed COD deliveries and returns. Add their average cost per order to packaging.
- โRe-check your category commission in Seller Center every quarter, because Daraz revises rates.
- โGet on the FBR Active Taxpayer List. Otherwise the withholding on every sale doubles.
- โEncourage prepaid orders. Withholding is 1% instead of 2%, and failed deliveries drop.
- โPrice for at least 15โ20% net margin so campaign vouchers don't push you into a loss.

What is the Daraz Seller Profit & Commission Calculator?
The Daraz Seller Profit & Commission Calculator shows what you actually earn from each Daraz order once every deduction is taken out. It starts from your selling price, subtracts the category commission, the payment fee, any fixed handling or shipping charge, tax on those fees and the income tax withheld on the sale. That gives your payout, the amount that reaches your Daraz wallet. It then subtracts your product cost, packaging and ad spend to give your real profit, margin, return on investment (ROI) and the lowest price at which you stop losing money.
Daraz sets a different commission rate for each product category. Fashion and jewellery usually carry much higher commission than mobiles or laptops, and the rates are revised from time to time. Daraz publishes the current table inside Seller Center under Daraz University โบ Marketplace Commission Structure. Because those rates change, this calculator does not lock you into a preset. Type the rate for your exact category from your Seller Center and the result updates instantly. The payment fee is pre-filled with 2.25%, the figure commonly reported from Daraz's Payment Policy. Check it against your own statement.
Tax is the cost most sellers forget. Under section 153(2A) of Pakistan's Income Tax Ordinance 2001, added by the Finance Act 2025, income tax is collected on the gross amount of every e-commerce sale. The rate is 1% when the buyer pays through a digital or banking channel and 2% on cash on delivery, and it doubles for sellers who are not on the FBR's Active Taxpayer List. The calculator applies it to the full sale amount, not to your profit, which is why it hurts more than its size suggests.
Worked example: you sell a product for Rs 2,500 that costs you Rs 1,200. Take a 12% commission (Rs 300), a 2.25% payment fee (Rs 56.25), a Rs 60 handling charge and 2% COD withholding (Rs 50). Daraz pays out Rs 2,033.75. After Rs 40 packaging and Rs 100 of ads per order, your profit is Rs 693.75. That is a 27.75% margin and a 51.8% ROI. The break-even price is about Rs 1,672, and to earn a 20% margin you need to list at about Rs 2,196. If the buyer pays online, withholding falls to 1% and profit rises to Rs 718.75.
Use the price sensitivity table to see how a 5โ15% discount for a campaign changes your profit before you opt in, and use the target margin box to find the list price that hits the margin you want. The share button copies a link with all your inputs, so a partner or accountant sees exactly the same numbers.
