COMSATS Aggregate Calculator 2026 (CUI)

Calculate your COMSATS University Islamabad merit aggregate from Matric, Intermediate and NTS NAT marks with the official Fall 2026 formula, plus the A-level rule and the NAT score you need.

Formula verified Oct 2026 · Source: CUI Fall 2026 Merit Calculator and CUI Undergraduate Guide 2025-26 (Entrance Test, p. 33)

Matric 10% + Intermediate 40% + NTS NAT 50%. If your HSSC result is awaited, enter your first-year (Part-I) marks, as CUI asks.

Most BS programs (CS, Software Engineering (non-eng), AI, Data Science, Cyber Security, BBA, Economics, Psychology…) need at least 50% in Intermediate. The merit formula is the same.

1100 or 1200, as printed on your certificate.

1100 for full HSSC; use your Part-I total (e.g. 550) if Part-II is awaited.

CUI's calculator takes the NTS score out of 100.

Your COMSATS merit aggregate
76.82%
CUI's own calculator shows the aggregate to 2 decimal places.
Aggregate = (1,000 ÷ 1,100 × 10) + (900 ÷ 1,100 × 40) + (70 ÷ 100 × 50) = 9.0909 + 32.7273 + 35.0000 = 76.8182%

What this means
  • Intermediate 81.82% vs the 50% minimum for CS, AI, SE, BBA & other BS: met.
  • NAT gives 35.00 of your points. Each NAT mark adds 0.50 aggregate points, so 10 more marks add 5.0.
  • Closing merits differ by program, campus and merit list each year; check the merit lists on the CUI admission portal for your campus.
NAT score needed for a target aggregate

You need at least 77 / 100 in NTS NAT to reach 80.00%.

Common mistakes
  • Entering your NAT percentile or a score out of a different total. CUI's calculator takes the NTS score out of 100.
  • Using 1100 as the total with Part-I marks. If Part-II is awaited, enter Part-I marks with the Part-I total.
  • Applying to engineering with less than 33% in NTS or less than 60% in Intermediate; you won't be eligible whatever your aggregate.
  • Using this formula for B.Arch or Design programs, which add a Creative Aptitude Test and interview (see the eligibility criteria).
💡 Pro tips
  • →NAT is worth half your aggregate; every 10 NAT marks moves you 5 points, far more than a few extra board marks.
  • →You can list up to seven program preferences on one CUI application form; rank them in the order you'd genuinely accept.
  • →NTS holds several NAT sessions before CUI's deadlines (Fall 2026: 14 June, 12 July, 9 August); an early attempt leaves time to retake.
  • →Last dates differ by campus (Fall 2026: Islamabad 8 July, Lahore 24 July, Abbottabad 6 August), so check your campus schedule.

What is the COMSATS Aggregate Calculator 2026 (CUI)?

The COMSATS Aggregate Calculator works out the merit score that COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI) uses to rank applicants for its BS programs at all seven campuses: Islamabad, Lahore, Abbottabad, Wah, Attock, Sahiwal and Vehari. It follows CUI's own Fall 2026 Merit Calculator on the admission portal and the CUI Undergraduate Guide 2025-26: Matriculation 10%, Intermediate 40% and NTS test 50%. The guide lists the same 10/40/50 weightage for engineering and non-engineering programs, so Computer Science, BBA and Electrical Engineering are all merited the same way.

CUI's entrance test is the NTS National Aptitude Test (NAT-I). For Fall 2026 the admission advertisement lists NAT as the undergraduate entry test, with NTS test dates on 14 June, 12 July and 9 August 2026, and you need a valid NAT result when you submit your form. CUI's official calculator takes the NTS score out of 100 and simply halves it, so every NAT mark adds 0.5 aggregate points. Matric and Intermediate are converted to percentages of their own totals and multiplied by 10 and 40.

Worked example: Matric 1000/1100, Intermediate 900/1100 and NAT 70/100. Matric gives 1000 ÷ 1100 × 10 = 9.09, Intermediate gives 900 ÷ 1100 × 40 = 32.73 and NAT gives 70 ÷ 2 = 35.00. The aggregate is 76.82%. To reach 80% with the same board marks, this student would need about 76.4 in NAT, i.e. at least 77 out of 100.

If your HSSC result is awaited, CUI asks for your first-year (Part-I) marks instead. For A-level result-awaiting candidates, CUI's calculator counts O-level equivalent marks (from the IBCC equivalence certificate) as 50%, with NAT as the other 50%. Architecture and Art & Design programs (B.Arch, B.Design, Interior Design, Fine Arts) use a different formula with a Creative Aptitude Test and interview, so this calculator does not cover them.

On top of the aggregate, the calculator checks your Intermediate percentage against the program minimum (50% for most BS programs, 60% for engineering and Pharm-D), flags the 33% NTS minimum for engineering, shows the NAT score you need for any target aggregate, gives a what-if table of NAT scores and lets you copy a share link with all your marks filled in.

How to Use This Calculator

  1. 1Choose your academic route: FSc/ICS/DAE, A level (result awaiting) or custom weights.
  2. 2Pick the program type so the calculator can check the right eligibility minimum.
  3. 3Enter your Matric marks and total (1100 or 1200, as printed).
  4. 4Enter your Intermediate marks and total, or Part-I marks if your HSSC result is awaited (O-level IBCC marks for A-level students).
  5. 5Enter your NTS NAT score out of 100.
  6. 6Read your aggregate, the formula and the eligibility check; then set a target to see the NAT score you need, and copy a share link.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the COMSATS aggregate formula for 2026?+
Matric % × 0.10 + Intermediate % × 0.40 + NTS NAT % × 0.50. CUI's Fall 2026 Merit Calculator computes it as (SSC obtained ÷ total × 10) + (HSSC obtained ÷ total × 40) + (NTS score ÷ 2), and the CUI Undergraduate Guide 2025-26 lists the same 10/40/50 weightage.
Is the formula different for engineering at COMSATS?+
No. The CUI Undergraduate Guide 2025-26 gives the same 10/40/50 weightage for engineering programs, but engineering applicants need a valid NTS score of at least 33% under PEC policy and at least 60% in Intermediate.
Which entry test does COMSATS accept?+
The NTS National Aptitude Test (NAT-I). The guide says you need a valid NAT-I result when you submit your application, and the Fall 2026 advertisement lists NAT as the undergraduate entry test. CUI's official calculator only has an NTS field; it does not list SAT, ECAT or other tests.
How is the aggregate calculated for A-level students?+
CUI's Fall 2026 calculator says that for A-level result-awaiting candidates, O-level equivalent marks are counted as 50%. With NAT carrying 50%, the aggregate is O-level IBCC % × 0.50 + NAT % × 0.50. Get your IBCC equivalence certificate before applying.
What if my FSc Part-II result is not out yet?+
CUI says HSSC result-awaiting candidates submit their first-year marks, and admission can be offered provisionally on a Hope Certificate. The offer is confirmed only after your final result meets the eligibility criteria.
What is the minimum percentage for admission to COMSATS?+
At least 50% in Intermediate or equivalent for most BS programs, including Computer Science, Software Engineering (non-engineering), AI, Data Science and BBA. Engineering programs and Pharm-D need at least 60%.
How much does one NAT mark add at COMSATS?+
Half an aggregate point. NAT carries 50% and is scored out of 100, so ten more NAT marks raise your aggregate by 5 points.
Does the formula apply to Architecture and Design?+
No. B.Arch uses Matric 5% + Intermediate 10% + NTS 10% + Creative Aptitude Test 40% + interview 35%, and B.Design, Interior Design and Fine Arts use 30% general merit plus a 70% Creative Aptitude Test.
